It’s been a year since the Chatelaine.com website re-launch; it’s been a good year. But not all of it has been good, because this was the year that fitness lots its one true guru: Jack LaLanne. And yet in his passing we remembered what is important about leading a healthy lifestyle. And this leads me to believe there is hope for the future of health and fitness.

When I turned 40, my husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a blow-out meal at one of Toronto’s top restaurants. We each had starters, main courses and dessert along with a few glasses of wine.
