Peppery chicken wings recipe

You made it! You survived the first back-to-school, back-to-work week. But, back to the grind doesn't have to mean sweating over a hot stove for a satisfying family dinner. These chicken wings take just five minutes to prep, and a plate of colourful veggies and dip will keep Mom happy, too. We've got dessert covered with our easiest peach crisp (we promise). Happy September!

Main

Peppery chicken wings
These chicken wings take just five minutes to prep making them perfect for Friday night noshing. They have just the right mix of heat, spice and tang - but turn down the heat dial as needed. Use drumettes if you want a healthier version - they're a little meatier than wings and have less fat.

Sides

Sweet and sour coleslaw
This creamy slaw is so simple to make. Mix shredded cabbage and carrots with light mayo, cider vinegar, Dijon and the secret ingredient: ketchup.

Crudites with hummus
Chicken wings and veggies and dip go hand in hand. Instead of taking these crudites to go, display colourful vegetables such as peppers, celery, cucumbers and asparagus on a platter and watch them disappear.

Dessert

Easiest peach crisp
Think a crisp is not doable on a weeknight? Think again. Grab a basket of local peaches and combine the brown sugar, butter and flour mixture, plus oats and bake until golden. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
