What activity is possibly more addictive than smoking or sex? According to one U.S. study (via The Daily Mail) it's checking your Facebook and/or Twitter page.

There was a time when you could end a romantic relationship with someone and the very next day wipe all traces of their existence from your life. While you might cling to a few relics of your former happiness you could emerge refreshed and ready to spin the wheel of romantic fortune all over again.

Proud parents may be forgiven for thinking candid snaps of their offspring are calendar-worthy. But their pals may not be as enraptured by their baby’s changing expressions.
