Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène of Monaco had the city (and social media) buzzing the other night when they arrived in Toronto to celebrate the opening of Grace Kelly: From Movie Star to Princess. Housed in the TIFF Bell Lightbox, the exhibit features rarely displayed personal artifacts, couture dresses, home movies and jewellery ranging from Grace’s early career as a Hollywood star to her days as the most glamorous princess. The exhibit gives us a glimpse inside her life as a royal, and proves her enduring status as a style icon.

Highlights from the exhibit include: letters from Alfred Hitchcock, a replica of Kelly's Helen-Rose-designed wedding gown and monogrammed shoes, the famous Hermès "Kelly Bag" that was named after the princess, and her personal eye wear and hat collection.

The exhibit runs from November 4, 2011 to January 22, 2012
