1 1/4 cups
Quick, easy and classic, this cranberry sauce recipe takes only 10 minutes to make.
- 2 cups frozen cranberries
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- orange zest , for garnish (optional)
- Combine cranberries with orange juice and sugar in a medium saucepan set over medium-high. Boil, stirring occasionally, until liquid reduces by half, about 5 min.
- Mash cranberries with a whisk or potato masher. Continue cooking, stirring often, until sauce thickens to a very loose jam-like consistency, 3 to 5 min. Scrape into a serving bowl and let cool to room temperature. Sprinkle with zest. (Sauce will thicken as it cools.)
Sauce can be prepared 2 days in advance and refrigerated.
