Sunny guacamole

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 lime
  • 1/3 cup light sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp Tabasco sauce


  • Slice avocados in half. Discard pits. Scoop avocados into a bowl. Grate in 2 tsp (10 mL) peel and squeeze in about 2 tbsp (30 mL) juice from lime. Mash avocados with a fork, then stir in sour cream, salt and Tabasco. Taste and add more salt or Tabasco, if you wish. Serve with pappadums, pitas or wedges of lavosh.
