We've developed the ultimate waffle recipe! Golden and crisp, they're perfect for a lazy Sunday morning breakfast.
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole-wheat flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
PREHEAT waffle iron.
WHISK all-purpose flour with whole-wheat flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
WHISK eggs and milk in a medium bowl. Add flour to mixture while stirring, until almost combined.
STIR in 1/2 cup melted butter until smooth. Be careful not to over mix. Ladle mixture into waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's directions.
SERVE immediately or keep warm in 200F oven.
