The focus for the fifth day of the 12 Days of Fitness is on pre-workout stretching and warm ups. It's important to do some dynamic stretches prior to completing your daily 10-minute workouts, to get your body and muscles ready to take on the cardio, circuit and core moves. Dynamic stretches are a series of repeated motions that prep the body for performance (ideal for pre-workout), while static stretches are held for up to 30 seconds in order to improve flexibility (good for post-workout).
