Toronto Fall Fashion Week 2012 is back and we are psyched about all the Canadian design talent that is taking to the runway. Here are a few new friends and old favourites that we are chomping at the bit to check out:

The new kid on the block: Cara Cheung
Canadian-born Cheung is making her grand runway debut this March at Toronto Fashion week. Known for her high-end evening wear, the former Chanel intern, is set to wow next week with her signature embellishments and go-to glamour.
Showtime: Wednesday, March 14 at 5pm (Studio)

The heavy hitter: Joe Fresh
Every season, this is the show that I most look forward to. The styles are oh-so-affordable and I know the looks will produced and that I can easily pick them up in stores. Fun, on-trend and filled with colour, designer Joe Mimran knows how to hit a home run every time. Plus, he always surprises with a celebrity model...I can't wait to see who he'll have coming up.
Showtime: Wednesday, March 14 at 9pm (Runway)

The daydream believer: Adrian Wu
Known for his avant-garde designs and over-the-top collections, he creates for the love of creating and not for the critics. He is simply an artist. Often producing controversial pieces, his clothes are truly works of art and always make his a spectacular show to watch.
Showtime: Tuesday, March 13 at 2pm (Studio)

The ethical artist: Laura Siegel
Siegel's sweet and easy-to-wear collection is proof that following your passion can be pretty fruitful. Her continued dedication to working ethically with with local artisans in third world countries gives this free spirit's brand its sustainable backbone. With beautiful textiles and easy-to-wear pieces, Siegel's collection is one I always find myself cozying up to.
Showtime: Tuesday, March 13 at 3pm (Studio)

The Runway
Rockstar: Rudsak
This Montreal-based brand is one of the country’s best. Known largely for their luxe leather jackets, handbags and accessories, Rudsak is rich in style and substance. Season after season, the designer Evik Asatoorian wows on the runway with his perfect combination of innovation, edge and wear-ability (and his show rocks the house). I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us this time.
Showtime: Thursday, March 15 at 6pm (Runway)

This is just a taste of what this season's Canadian catwalk has to offer, so be sure to get your tickets. (limited general tixs available for purchase).
