Earlier in the day, the Duchess boarded a plane at Heathrow wearing a Smythe jacket by Canadian designers, and touched down in Ottawa changing into a form-fitting navy blue sheath dress by Erdem, a Montreal-born, London-based designer. She paired this simple but sophisticated Spring '12 dress with a neutral clutch and pumps.

To commemorate Canada Day (and what would have been Princess Diana’s 50th birthday), the Duchess wore a white dress by UK-based Reiss (apparently she went shopping in her closet, previously wearing this dress for her engagement picture), along with patent red heels and the Queen’s maple leaf brooch. She topped off the look with a red fascinator by Sylvia Fletcher that was adorned with maple leaves.

The Duchess attends a ceremony at Rideau Hall in another form-fitting grey sheath dress by British designer Catherine Walker (who was one of Princess Diana's favourite) with turned-up sleeves, a deep front collar and deep V back. She accessorized with a pair of simple but sparkly Links of London egg-shaped hope earrings (waiting list now open) and a silver clutch and heels.

In Quebec City she wore another dress by Montreal-born Erdem with lace overlay on top and a small slit at the knee, along with neutral accessories.
