Tried and true brand Kiehl’s is known for its top-notch hand creams, lip balms and now its natural products. And in stores soon, the brand is launching a limited edition collection of the Açaí Damage-Protecting Toning Mist (featured in our April issue) in support of the Rainforest Alliance.
Partnering with celebs is not new to Kiehl’s. Remember that hand wash Brad Pitt designed? Fabulous idea and all of their collaborations raise money for worth causes from AIDS to the environment. So what’s new about these açaí products? In honour of Earth Day this April, the brand will launch these with 100 percent of the net proceeds going to the non-profit organization committed to conserving biodiversity and ensuring sustainable livelihoods.
The organic açaí berry is grown responsibly in the Amazon and provides antioxidant protection against all those nasty free radicals in the environment. So who designed the labels? Well for starters, musician Pharrell Williams, the artist Jeff Koons and actress Julianne Moore, along with a sketch from a Brazilian child.
