Earlier today Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge along with her new husband the Duke, boarded a plane to Ottawa for a nine-day trip to Canada. Already proving to be a fashion diplomat, she chose to wear Canadian label Smythe Les Vestes (generally referred to as Smythe).

The line is best known for its perfectly tailored and sartorially-savvy blazers, and has acquired a strong cult following from celebs and stylish editors alike -- and now they can add royalty to the list. (Chatelaine profiled designers Andrea Lenczner and Christie Smythe in our July issue). Middleton paired the navy blazer with embossed gold buttons with a form-fitting dress from London-based designer, Roland Mouret, and a bag from Mulberry.

K-Mid (as she is now being referred to) has yet to arrive, but we're already impressed by her touring threads.
