What it is: Powder pink pencil skirt, H&M, $15

How to wear it: This delicate pencil skirt might be as pretty as a peach but don't be fooled by its soft lace overlay and pastel hue because the cut is super sharp. Part of H&M's Conscious Collection, the environmentally responsible skirt is sewn from 70% organic chemical-free cotton. With an exposed gold zipper and a little back slit is the ultimate in eco-chic. Wear it with a button-down shirt, nude kitten heals and a strand of pearls for an afternoon garden party, or shake it up after sunset with a sexy scoop neck tank, a sparkly pair of statement earrings and a stacked set of pumps.

Why I love it: I don't know about you, but for me clothes that have an eco edge always seem to soothe my soul. One of my favourite environmentally responsible lines is courtesy of fast-fashion retailer, H&M. After debuting their conscious clothing a few years ago (and yes I have the THE original floral red dress made from 100% recycled water bottles), the ongoing capsule collection exclusively uses eco-friendly fibres including organic cotton, organic hemp and recycled polyester. This Earth Day, I'll be picking up this pretty pencil skirt that's got style and sustainability.
