If we were to give Kate Middleton a paper gift for her one-year wedding anniversary, then we’d have to mark it with an A for her classic style. Admittedly, she is not the most daring royal when it comes to fashion, but this would be a tough role for any girl to not take seriously and with limited risks.
She kicked off the year with the dress - a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding gown - then reintroduced the fascinator to a whole new generation, delivered some glamorous evening gowns, supported smaller fashion houses and mixed fast-fashion with high end fashion pieces (as easily as Mrs. Obama). Along the way, she found her own style syllabus: conservative yet glamorous.
Here’s a look back at the future Queen’s fashion hits. We can’t wait to see what the next year will bring for the Duchess of Cambridge. Happy Anniversary!
