While not technically waterproof, they lasted all winter, kept my feet dry and I would wear them all day with dresses and tights and they looked chic enough for a cocktail party. (Many an editor-in-chief complimented my boot choice, so I knew they were worth the investment.) Plus, because of the respira technology my feet didn’t overheat so I could transition my boots easily from inside to outside, a hard feat in cold weather. While the patent is fun, it’s hard to care for in the winter and because I love my other pair so much I thought I’d check out what they have in store for this year. Here’s my Geox recommendation for this year:
Geox D. Cruz Waterproof leather boots, $325. They are waterproof, chic and zip up the side so you can stuff your jeans into them, pair them with stockings or whatever you fancy. And you won’t have to worry about cold or wet toes. I love them because they are basically the same pair I have from last year in a nice luxe leather and are actually made for winter weather! You will not be disappointed.
This one is another favourite for a new take on the riding boot. And the gold detailing takes them up a notch. I’ll have some more of my favourite boot recommendations coming up – some of my favs include Timberland, Converse and Sorel. Yes, I own many pairs of boots. There are already closet space issues, trust me. – Kate Daley
