12 ways to look smart now

Lanvin Fall 2012; Imaxtree

Draw the line

"Oversized liner makes the eyes appear bigger and more graphic," says CoverGirl global creative design director Pat McGrath, who designed this easy-to-achieve look for Lanvin. Apply the liner by gently pulling your eyelid upward. Beginning at the inner corner, use your liquid-liner applicator to draw a thick line following the shape of your eye. Finish by extending the liner beyond the outer corner.
