Betty Crocker's rainbow cake mix has been recalled

General Mills Inc. has recalled its popular Betty Crocker Super Moist Rainbow Bit Cake cake mix because of E. coli concerns. The box mix for the sprinkle-studded white cake contains flavour chips made with contaminated flour.

In the U.S., the same mix is called Betty Crocker Delights Super Moist Party Rainbow Chip Cake Mix. Betty Crocker Delights Super Moist Carrot Cake Mix, sold only in the States, has also been recalled.

The Canadian mix has a package UPC of 000-65633-46589 and “better if used by dates'' of 27AL2017, 08JN2017 and 09JN2017. Customers can call 1-800-526-4579 to request a replacement cake mix.
