Weekend Cooking : Caramel Sticky Buns little blue hen

This weekend I’m attending a goodbye brunch for a great friend who is moving across the globe to Australia. My absolute favourite thing to bring to breakfast potlucks are sticky buns. They’re gooey, delicious and completely indulgent and they are guaranteed to inspire guests to become wide-eyed and excited and exclaim: Who brought THESE!”

A friend of mine used to make batches of sticky buns to give away as gifts for the holidays. Her version was an entire weekend affair: one day to make the dough and let it rise; the second day to roll and bake the buns. Lucky for me, I know a much less time-consuming way to make this decadent breakfast food .

The Chatelaine Kitchen's sticky caramel bun recipe uses store-bought pizza dough, so all the hard work of letting it rise has already been done! The end result tastes so good, no one need ever know that it only took 40 minutes to make.  I omit the currants in mine, and they’re just as yummy.  These sticky buns are always a hit, and I guarantee they’ll be a favourite at your next brunch party too!
