Our associate food editor, Lyn, loves to bake and spends many a weekend baking up a storm. In fact, it’s not unusual for her to bake a couple loaves of fresh bread on a Saturday (and also not unusual for her family to eat most of it then, too). One recipe she swears by is our Sharp Cheddar Zucchini Loaf, a savoury and uber-delicious bread that you can use as a side, or just snack on its own (trust us, it's addictive). The great thing about this bread is that you can also add other ingredients you like, such as 1/4 cup of chopped pistachios, sundried tomatoes or chives to make it even more festive and special.

In keeping with our homemade gifts theme this week, we also happened to snag these nifty little giftable bakewares from President's Choice. They come in two different sizes – 8.25” x 4.3” loaf pans and 9” x 9” square pans. They come with red ribbons so you can dress up your baked goods for gift giving.  Made with silicone-coated paper, these are oven-safe up to 392F, so you can literally bake-and-take straight in the pan.  Best of all, they're reasonably priced at $9.99 per set (6 for loaf pans, 4 for square pans).

Lyn gave these pans a try at home with the Sharp Cheddar Zucchini Loaf (in picture), and they worked like a charm. So, whether you're baking this for your family or friends, I recommend that you make more than one because they'll definitely disappear faster than you think...
