Throw your own Super Bowl tailgate party

It’s tailgate time! This Sunday comes the event hailed as the Academy Awards of football – the Super Bowl. Whether you’re tuned in to watch the commercials, the half-time show, or the main event, Super Bowl Sunday is all about food and fun.

Traditionally, tailgate parties are held in the parking lots of football stadiums or arenas as a pre-game celebration. Although we’re nowhere near Texas for the Super Bowl, you can still throw your own tailgate party with these crowd-pleasing treats!

Chili coconut shrimp: You can forgo the cocktail sauce with these flavourful shrimps, as it’s built right into the recipe.

Prosciutto rolls: One of the teams playing in the Superbowl is the Green Bay Packers. Throw a little ‘green’ into your party mix by making these salad rolls.

Blue cheese chicken wings: Give your party a sports-bar atmosphere by serving this ultimate finger food. Serve with a side of carrot and celery sticks with extra blue cheese dressing.

Chunky chipotle-pork chili: Chili is a staple at tailgate parties as it's easy to make and can feed a large crowd. Serve this with a side of store-bought cornbread or a crusty loaf of bread.

Best-ever brownies: What’s a party without something sweet like these delicious brownies? For some extra pizzazz, cut them in shapes of footballs, or use a football-shaped cookie cutter. If you’re feeling especially fancy, decorate them with stitching made from our royal icing

Go teams go!
