Here are my two favourite bacon recipes: The first is this rum peameal roast. It’s delicious and super easy to make! It’s perfect for long weekends because I don’t want slave over a stove at a cottage or even when I could be enjoying some sun in the backyard. Instead of having to tediously fry individual peameal slices the whole peameal roasts in the oven. Then it can be sliced and served. Here it is: My other favourite bacon recipe is sugar crusted (regular) bacon. There’s no denying, this recipe is decadent. Sugar-crusted bacon can be made by sprinkling bacon with demarara sugar while turning and frying it in the usual way. Make sure the head is medium-low so the sugar doesn’t caramelize too quickly.
