As a surprise for the Chatelaine staff, we baked our Best-ever Brownies as a Valentine’s Day treat. We baked three variations: a plain brownie (for the purists), brownie topped with semi-sweet and white chocolate chips and brownie topped with chopped hazelnuts.
After baking, we let the brownies cool. Then, instead of cutting them into squares, we used a heart-shaped cookie cutter to make these sweet shapes instead.
With the help of our marketing team, we then packaged them into little cellophane bags and tied them off with pink ribbon and a matching card.
