Farmers' market produce: Eight peach recipes

Peach season is coming to an end, so if you find some at the market, grab them before it's too late. From dinner to dessert, we have a handful of recipes.

Peach season is coming to an end, so if you find some at the market, grab them before it’s too late. We’ve been developing and testing peach recipes for next summer’s issues of Chatelaine magazine (yes, already!) and we can’t get enough of their sweet juiciness.

So pick up a basket of local peaches this weekend and try them in the following recipes. You can also substitute ripe nectarines for peaches, if desired:

Breakfast: Double your peachy pleasure with a breakfast of peach-poppyseed sour cream pancakes drizzled with maple peach sauce.

Dessert: Make sweet peaches the star attraction in the following classics: crispstreusel pie or sponge cake.

Barbecue: Barbecue season isn’t over yet so whip up a batch of smoky peach bbq sauce for your next grilling session.

20-minute Dinner: Try our peachy basil chicken. You can dress this recipe up for special occasions with the suggested variations.
