- 2.5-kg bag cooking onions
- 1/4 cup cubed butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- pepper , to season
- Peel and thinly slice a 2.5-kg bag of cooking onions. Combine with 1/4 cup cubed butter and 1/4 tsp salt in slow-cooker insert. Season with pepper. Cover and cook on high until onions are soft and dark brown, about 6 hours.
