Fast Cajun crouton stuffing

Ingredients

  • 2 Italian sausages
  • 2 onions , chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves , minced
  • 1 jalapeno , seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper , seeded and chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 170-g box seasoned croutons , about 4 cups

Instructions

  • Remove sausages from casings and crumble meat. Combine with onions, garlic and peppers in a large frying pan set over medium heat.
  • Sprinkle with seasonings and sauté until sausage is cooked, about 10 minutes. Toss in a large bowl with croutons. Use as a stuffing right away or cover and refrigerate up to 2 days.
