Ingredients

  • 750-mL bottle dry red wine , such as cabernet sauvignon, or dry rosé such as cabernet franc

  • 10 whole cloves
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Wassail is wonderful served with Warm Brie in phyllo (this recipe is also available in the Recipe File) to begin Christmas dinner or any holiday party.
