Cantaloupe agua fresca recipe

Take a juicy, ripe cantaloupe and turn it into a cool and refreshing drink with this 10-minute recipe.
Ingredients
1/4 cup
granulated sugar
2 1/4 cups
water
2-Jan
cantaloupe
, coarsely chopped, about 4 cups
5 tbsp
lime juice
Instructions
COMBINE sugar and 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan and boil until sugar is dissolved. Let cool slightly.
PURÉE cantaloupe with remaining 2 cups water in a blender until smooth. Pour through a sieve into a pitcher, using a spatula to push through. Stir in sugar syrup and lime juice. Serve over ice.
