Chill a martini glass in the freezer. Following martini connoisseur Luis Buñuel’s recipe from his 1972 movie The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie, you coat the cubes by pouring vermouth into a shaker of ice, then pouring it out and discarding vermouth. Then add gin to the shaker of ice. Stir gently, strain and pour into chilled glass. Add olive (no toothpick).
