Rum and coke sour cocktail

Five o’clocktail: This twisted classic was created by Trevor Burnett, who’s behind the bar at Toronto’s Ritz Carlton Deq Lounge.
Ingredients

355-mL can
cola

1/4 cup
granulated sugar

3 tbsp
Bacardi Oakheart
rum

2 tbsp
fresh
lime juice

egg white
Instructions
- Make syrup by bringing Coke and sugar to a boil on high. Boil until reduced to 1/2 cup, about 20 min. Let cool.
- Add 2 tbsp Coke syrup, Bacardi, lime juice and egg white to a shaker. Cover and shake for 10 sec. Add a handful of ice and shake vigorously for another 20 sec
- Pour mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a rocks glass.
