When I was in elementary school, my parents and I would frequently travel to Thailand to visit extended family during my March break. The gloriously hot weather was a reprieve from winter and I looked forward to it every year. In university, the jet-setting lifestyle I was used to as a kid changed. Instead, I found myself watching my friends pack and travel to Mexico, Punta Cana and other all-inclusive tropical destinations.

For me, March break is still synonymous with the tropics. It’s not just about childhood memories, but it also has a lot to do with my wishful thinking for summer to get here! If you’re not heading to warmer climates this March break, let us bring it to you with these sizzling meal ideas – they’ll make you feel like you’re sitting right by the beach enjoying the ocean breeze.
