Also, the food Prince Charles can't get enough of.

While appearing on a special episode of MasterChef Australia, the Duchess of Cornwall shared some exclusive information about her own food preferences and those of her husband Prince Charles – plus the things a royal should never consume.

“Garlic is a no-no,” the 70-year-old revealed, agreeing with the host who suggested it’s because she is always meeting new people. “Exactly. It’s always so – you just have to lay off the garlic.” Camilla went on to describe some of her husband’s favourite things to nosh on. “He loves local cheeses, he’s a huge cheese fan. Anything to do with cheese, he’ll love,” she shared, adding that the way to his heart is pairing the dairy item with eggs and local vegetables. “You’d definitely see a smile,” she gushed.

For the challenge of their lives, contestants on the show were tasked with creating a delicious meal for Prince Harry and William’s father, who got to try a taste of each dish that was specially prepared for him. “I’m particularly partial about local ingredients,” he remarked to one contestant. “And that’s what makes it so fascinating is the diversity.”

While saying goodbye to garlic might not be a big deal for the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, new family member Meghan Markle may have a harder time. The Duchess of Sussex is quite a foodie, having previously showed off her penchant for culinary dishes on her now-shuttered Instagram feed and blog, The Tig. Her social media often featured some of her favourite Italian dishes from favoured Toronto restaurant, Terroni. But one thing Charles and Meghan have in common is definitely their appreciation for local foods, preferring fresh and healthy ingredients – which is probably why they seem to get along so swimmingly.
