Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will exchange vows in the second highly anticipated royal wedding of the year on Oct. 12, 2018. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson's younger daughter and her future husband, who has worked with George Clooney's tequila brand Casamigos, announced their engagement in January after Eugenie said "yes" to a stunning pink sapphire engagement ring.

Who will be at the royal wedding?

Following in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's footsteps, Eugenie and Jack have decided to open up their nuptials to members of the public. While it was originally believed to be a private affair, a total of 1,200 guests will be given access to the castle grounds to watch their arrival. Royal fans can apply for up to four tickets on the royal family's official website, and those chosen will be notified in September by mail. Aug. 8 is the deadline for applications, so get them in quick.

When is Princess Eugenie's wedding?

With the Royal Family's extremely packed individual schedules, nailing down a date that worked for everyone was no easy feat! In fact, Princess Eugenie and her fiancé had to shift their wedding date so Meghan Markle and Prince Harry – who are set to travel to Australia for the Invictus Games and a tour Down Under – will be able to make their Oct. 12 nuptials.

Where will the ceremony take place?

Just like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's big day back in May, Princess Eugenie and Jack will wed in the stunning St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. And just like their cousins, they could share their first public kiss on the chapel's West Steps.

The royal couple will be the 11th pair to say "I do" in this historic building, joining Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly in 2008, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall in 2005, and Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex in 1999.

The engagement ring is pink (and gorgeous)

While Eugenie and Jack's engagement photos were absolutely beautiful, there was a certain sparkling jewel that caught everyone's eye: the princess's engagement ring. The breathtaking bauble features a unique padparadscha sapphire surrounded by 10 brilliant-cut diamonds and two pear-cut diamonds. The use of the rare and colourful stone is particularly meaningful to Eugenie as her mother Sarah Ferguson's ring was quite similar — a Burma ruby to match her red hair, which was also surrounded by diamonds.

How did the couple meet?

Princess Eugenie and Jack don't have your typical meeting story. In fact, they were both on posh skiing trips in 2010 in Verbier, Switzerland, where the 28-year-old's father was celebrating his 50th birthday, when they met and fell in love, Jack explained in an engagement interview with the BBC. At the time, the 32-year-old was a waiter and barman, and was the former manager of Mayfair club Mahiki. The following year Jack was dressed to impress at Royal Ascot, after which they had a long-distance relationship while the royal lived in New York before moving back in 2015. "I love Eugenie so much and we are just so happy and over the moon for what is to come," he gushed in the interview.

The couple announced their engagement on March 15, 2018. Buckingham Palace took to Twitter to share the exciting news, writing: "The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Eugenie to Mr Jack Brooksbank. Her Royal Highness and Mr Jack Brooksbank became engaged in Nicaragua earlier this month. The wedding will take place in the autumn of 2018 at St George's Chapel in Windsor, with further details to be announced in due course."
