Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have a new playmate. Their aunt Pippa Middleton welcomed her first child with husband James Matthews on Monday, October 15 at the Lindo Wing, the same luxe area of London's St Mary's Hospital where her sister, Duchess Kate, delivered all three of her children. A spokesperson for the columnist and her partner told HELLO! "James and Pippa have had a baby boy. He was born Monday 15th October at 1.58pm, weighing 8lb and 9oz. Everyone is delighted and Mother and baby are doing well."

James was photographed carrying two duffel bags into the hospital on Tuesday (Oct. 15), just three days after the couple surprised fans by making an appearance at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding. Middleton, who chronicled her pregnancy fitness regime in the pages of Waitrose, wore a deep green empire midi dress with a high neck and long sleeves.

The 35-year-old, who married Matthews in May of 2017, wrote in her most recent column about the discomfort of her final weeks. "As the final month nears and the bump grows prouder each day, movement is certainly getting more awkward. As a result, one of the biggest changes is that my lower body has tightened up. The knock-on effect is making my back and sacrum both uncomfortable and achy."

She added: "The transformations to my body that are taking place as it prepares for childbirth have meant that the sound sleeps and the baby bubble effect have gone. Reality is finally kicking in. Perhaps this is the body’s way of making sure that you get in tune with what lies ahead." Kate's sister revealed that she'd been preparing for labour with walking, stretching and meditation — three practices that she hopes will help her in the months and years ahead. And after a year of renovations, the new parents are settled in their new west London home.

One thing is for sure — Middleton and Matthews welcomed their baby into the world in the most luxurious of settings. Ahead of Prince Louis' birth, Katherine Filkins told HELLO! what her experience giving birth in the exclusive wing was like. "While the Lindo Wing was a functional hospital, it was a little bit like a hotel in terms of the service," the mother of two said. "You had really fancy toiletries, the quality of the food that you got was fantastic. There was a wine list, you could have had champagne if you wanted. Right after the birth, they bring you a delicious afternoon tea for you and your family." Understandably so, as a deluxe room in the wing will set you back more than $12,000 for the first night.
