Home decor: Grey is the new beige

There's no disputing that grey has definitely taken centre stage as the new neutral of choice. After years of beige, this versatile tone is starting to show up everywhere and I for one could not be happier.

There's no disputing that grey has definitely taken centre stage as the new neutral of choice. After years of beige, this versatile tone is starting to show up everywhere and I for one could not be happier.

For me it really is the truest of neutrals – halfway between black (containing all colours) and white (containing no colour) – making your options for accessorizing truly endless. Sometimes picking the right tone of grey can be a tricky as it can have slightly different undertones of blue, brown or even purple. To help you pick the right hue for your space, I love the new Delicate Mix palette of tones from Sico Paints ranging from the cooler Albatross to the warmer Chanterelle Beige. The perfect complement for the warmer gold and copper tones that are currently in style, grey is the ultimate neutral canvas to create a calm and relaxing retreat.
