Getting older doesn’t have to mean getting weaker. A recent study found that the muscle loss we associate with aging actually has more to do with inactivity. When researchers compared the quads of 40- and 70-year-old athletes who worked out four to five times a week, they discovered the older group were nearly as strong as those almost half their age. Bottom line: Use it or lose it! No matter how old you are, strength training two or three times a week will leave you strong and fierce.
