What it is: Ankle boot from American designer Lela Rose for Payless.

How to wear it: A shorter, ankle boot is very versatile—think pencil skirt, strict shirt and statement bag by day and cuffed black skinnies, a loose blouse and sparkly clutch by night. I love the day to night versatility because it's practical and economical.

Why we love it: These two-tone booties are perfectly on the colour-blocking trend - one of my favourite looks this season. And because they’re in a basic neutral, you can go one step further and pair them with a bright pant (another fall staple) and v-neck cashmere sweater. These boots are part of an exclusive collection by American designer, Lela Rose for Payless, so you get high-style at a very reasonable price. Also, the lightly padded insole means there's some built-in comfort.

Lela Rose, available at select Payless stores across Canada, $85.
