Lip balms that pass the test

There's nothing more comforting than a good lip balm. And as the temperature drops I thought I'd share a few of my favourites.                           This eco-friendly one is made with organically grown or ecologically wild-crafted ingredients and is chock full of Vitamin E. It's peppermint free so your dry lips won't burn and comes in 5 different subtle shades. Love it.

Green Beaver Lip Shimmers, $6.

Bioderma is my new favourite skincare line. From their great moisturizers and face washes to their lip balm I just can't get enough. This one isn't sticky or waxy, nourishes quickly and is light enough to wear with a lip colour. Bioderma Atoderm Lip Balm.           A staple at my bedside, you really can't go wrong with this. It's cooling and protects lips from the harsh outdoors. I also love the pomegranate version that has just a hint of colour. Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm, $4.                                    Dermalogica is well-known for their skin calming treatments. If you're looking for a smoothing and great-smelling lip balm this one will do it for you.  It has vitamin E and lavender extract and isn't sticky. Dermalogica Climate Control Lip Treatment.                         This helps lips resist the cold weather with menthol to kill germs, phenol to remove old dead skin, beeswax, and salicylic acid. It's also good for playing sports outdoors and I know athletes that swear by it. Carmex lip balm, $3.  – Kate Daley
