Cozy cocktail: Mulled wine with clementines

Ingredients

  • 750 mL dry red wine
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 10 whole cloves
  • cinnamon stick
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • long strip of clementine peel (avoid white pith)

Instructions

  • Stir wine with sugar and spices in a saucepan over medium. Adjust heat so wine heats up but doesn’t simmer, allowing flavours to infuse, about 15 min. Add peel for the last 5 min of infusing. Strain and serve warm with clementine slices.
