Ingredients

  • 2 oz amber rum

  • 1/2 oz lemon juice

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup

  • maraschino cherry, to garnish

  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • FILL a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Add rum, lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake well.

  • STRAIN into a lowball glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

  • Simple syrup: Boil 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water in a small pot until sugar dissolves. Store in fridge up to two months.

Cocktail math: 1 oz = 2 tbsp.
