Your 2013 annual horoscope: A look at the year ahead!

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Strong and fiercely independent, you’ve always preferred to do things your own way and in your own time!  This year however, you’re being asked to find ways to merge and share with others on a deeper and more intimate level.  This requires trust, as you’re being challenged to open up and allow others in further than you ever have before.  Engaging in joint financial enterprises is likely to be part of this scenario.

Your mantra for 2013 is:  I choose to be open

Love: Friendship trumps romance this winter, or at least it’s the basis of a new relationship!  It’s all about having things in common and doing activities together.  All that goes completely out the window in May though, when lusty Mars and romantic Venus bond together in fiery Aries.  Passions flare and so does your love life!  A commitment is on the table in October, or the one you already have deepens in a meaningful way.

Money/Work:  Other people’s money is there for you if you need it, but stickler Saturn won’t make it easy.  Loans officers want lots of backup documentation, and possibly a co-signer.  The May 9^th New Moon brings ample opportunity to plump your paycheque though, most likely via a new job, a promotion or a raise.  Jump on any opportunity or inspiration that comes your way in May!  From July onward your luck comes mostly from family, home and real estate.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Commitment and one-on-one relationships are your keys to success this year, but they also bring you your greatest challenges too!  If you’re someone who has tended to give too much in relationships in the past, then excessive demands or restrictions from others will show you that this pattern isn’t working so well anymore.   What are you holding on to, and what are you willing to let go of?  Choices will be made and boundaries set.

Your mantra for 2013 is:  I choose to do what’s best for me

Love: Some of you may begin a relationship with someone older or who wields authority and power.  All relationships you enter into now become serious very quickly as you’re not willing to waste time on players or emotionally unavailable types.  The April 25^th Lunar Eclipse could signal an ending of something that you already know isn’t working, but the May 9^th New Moon heralds a fabulous new beginning!  Don’t underestimate the power of your own charm this fall.

Work/Money:  With abundant Jupiter in your income zone until July, and moneybags Venus in your corner all spring, it’s looking to be a very lucrative first half of the year!  Expect something especially exciting to happen when these two profitable planets combine on May 28^th.  Once Jupiter moves on in July, pay attention to water cooler conversations as communications and networking is your best gateway to success.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

Whilst you naturally tend to be a jack-of-all-trades kind of person, this can cause you to scatter your energies somewhat!  Becoming the master of one is your challenge this year, as you’re supported in honing a certain skill-set to perfection or taking on some sort of long-term project or routine.  Focus, structure and discipline are your keys to success in most things now, including diet and health matters.

Love:  Lucky in love could be your catchphrase for the first half of the year as potential suitors are drawn to you like a magnet!  You don’t really have to do much except be your naturally charming and witty self (in other words, just show up!).  You’re surrounded with romantic opportunity (the best of the whole year!) in May and June, so get out and mingle if you’re single!  Attached?  The grass may look greener over yonder, but it’s really something deeper that you’re looking for.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

This year you’re asked to show up and take full credit for something you’ve done/are doing as an individual.  It’s about taking a creative risk and standing out from the crowd.  You’ll be challenged to let go of what other people think, and to trust in your own feelings and convictions.   Taking a romantic risk is part of this scenario too!  It’s about getting out of your head and into your heart.

You’re looking to shore up your foundations this year!  This could be your home and/or bank balance, but you’re also looking at what makes you feel safe emotionally.  Family history becomes important now as you explore your psychological foundations and emotional patterns from childhood.  You can let old grievances go, and family ties become more sacred.  This is the year you could make a lasting commitment to buy your own house or start your own family!

Love:  Your benchmarks are changing this year as your heart opens and you get clear about what you want and need to feel happy!  Fears fall away as you embrace intimacy and allow someone to see the real you.   The February 9^th New Moon heralds the beginning of a new relationship, or the one you already have gets a jump-start!  Old fears or resentments could surface with the April 25^th Lunar Eclipse, but it’s really an opportunity to finally rise above and let go.  Commitment is the word in November!

Work/Money:  Whether it’s fame and glory you seek, or just a more enjoyable job, the May 9^th Solar Eclipse is go time!  This is the perfect time to focus on your professional goals and take major steps forward.  Stay-at-home moms could decide to enter the workforce, or vice versa.  It’s also a lucrative time to start your own home-based business.  Your money river rises with the September 5^th New Moon!

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

This year is all about information exchange!   Taking the time to slow down and really listen to other people’s opinions and ideas opens the door to new opportunities.  Idle chitchat is where it’s at, and it’s in no way a waste of time (although the efficient Virgo in you may think that it is!).  Let go of thinking that you always need to research more, prepare more or learn more and trust in your own innate intelligence.

Love:  You’re known for being discerning in your personal life, but idealistic Neptune clouds the issue and makes it difficult to see people for who they really are this February and March!   By April you should have a much better idea of what and who is right for you.  You can’t help but exude a certain kind of irresistible glamour when Venus and Neptune align in your sign late July!  Plan on a romantic summer getaway for two.  Groups, friends and socializing with like-minded others triggers new romantic prospects this fall.

Money/Work:  The March 27^th Full moon could cause finances to fluctuate, but generous Jupiter offers you a way out! Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Whilst relationships are important to you, sometimes it can be too easy to get wrapped up in the needs of others or in what they expect of you.  If you’ve been looking for validation from outside of yourself, then its time to pull back and focus more on your own needs and values.  Building up your own financial resources and becoming more financially independent is part of this scenario.

Your mantra for 2013 is:  I choose to support myself on all levels

Love:  A romantic tropical locale could be the backdrop for flirty fun and romance this February, or perhaps someone with a foreign accent turns your head at home. Things heat up dramatically when feisty Mars meets romantic Venus and exciting Uranus in your relationship zone in April!  You feel passionate and alive, but also impulsive.  Wait a month or so before committing to anything, or anyone. The October 18^th Lunar Eclipse forces your hand one way or another.

Aquarius (January 21 – February 18)
