1. Lingerie

Limited Brands (LTD): The company responsible for Victoria's Secret offers the kind of returns that give your portfolio a certain oomph — nearly 30 percent since the previous year, not to mention those fabulous dividends.

2. Chocolate

Hershey's (HSY): If kisses aren't enough, would a 20-plus percent increase in share value and a dividend over the past year put you in the mood?

3. Roses

1-800 Flowers (FLWS): Why say it with flowers, when you can say it with stock? One of the few publicly listed florists delivered a 50 percent return this year.

4. Gift cards

American Greetings (AM): Those sweet, sappy messages will be even sweeter with some share certificates stuffed inside. The card maker's stock rose about 30 percent this year. The hefty dividend is pretty sweet, too!
