Mood booster

You can always count on Ikea for colourful seasonal designs and accessories. I’m loving this bright, sunshine yellow nightstand — it's the perfect pick-me-up in a bedroom or as a living room side table. Another mood-boosting favourite is this flatwoven Stockholm rug. The fabulous ogee-like pattern is to die for. Stockholm nightstand, $90, Ikea. Stockholm rug, $199, Ikea.

Do good

The reusable S'well bottle is not only a major must-do with respect to the environment, it’s now quite a fashion statement. The beautifully designed, BPA- and toxin-free bottles have just been introduced in new looks joining the already-stunning collection. The textile, wood and satin styles are so pretty, all while keeping your drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12. Better still, a portion of every sale in the Textile and Satin collections goes back toward WaterAid charity. Do good, look good and spread the word. Water bottles, from $25, S'well.

Spring fever

Every new season Indigo hosts a wonderful product preview for the media; I always feel lucky to be invited. This week we got a sneak peek at their spring-summer collection and, as always, it was spectacular! I absolutely love these ombré pottery vases, and I’m still obsessed with rustic, cottage looks like the whitewashed tins that are a part of their beautiful Lakeside collection. Trust me, you will be so thrilled to step into any Indigo this coming spring season.Available in spring, Indigo.

Sweet and simple

One of my favourite design blogs is Oliver Yaphe. When I was lucky enough to meet the beautiful and talented blogger Katherine Yaphe (Oliver was her dog), it was instant girl crush at first sight. The Oliver Yaphe design philosophy is minimalist with a love of colour, and her posts and online boutique show just that. I purchased one of her rugs years ago, and now I'm onto her prints, which are cheery and modern — this one in particular, I have hung up in my daughter's bedroom. Thanks, Ms. Yaphe, for all you do!  Oliver with love poster, $34, Oliver Yaphe.

Old-world charm

A while back I had the privilege of meeting sisters Daniela and Paulina Flores, the gorgeous and super-talented team behind PFR Design. The  duo brings us inspiring looks with a touch of old-world, European style. From lighting and furniture to jewels, PFR Design is truly an extraordinary boutique. I am especially loving their collection of tea towel linens right now. The charming simplicity of the Seabream, Partridge and Strawberry prints (more options available, by the way) is just the sweetest thing! Tea towels, $38, PFR Design.
