How to prevent colds + flus
- Wash your hands frequently to kill germs
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouthgerms are passed easily through the mucous around these areas
- Get a flu shot yearly (flus only)
- Maintain a strong immune system by eating well and exercising regularly
- Eliminate or at least cut down on sugar, caffeine, alcohol and fat during cold seasonthey suppress certain immune functions
- Drink six to eight glasses of water every day
- Minimize contact with people who have colds
- Don’t share silverware or beverages with people who have colds
- Don’t smoke
