Along with green monsters, vegan overnight oats are one of my favourite go-to breakfasts. Both smoothies and overnight oats are ready in a flash, leaving you extra time to hit the snooze button or to sneak in a bit of exercise. Even better, there is absolutely zero preparation (or clean up) in the morning (yes, it’s even quicker than standing in a lineup for a muffin)!

As many of us are increasingly mindful of the impact our diet has on our health, here's something else to consider: A new Dutch study has concluded that eating apples, pears, bananas, cauliflowers, cucumbers and other fruits and vegetables with white flesh can help prevent a stroke.
