I’m going to go way off on a tangent here: I fear death. I do not want to die any time soon. The actions I take help prevent it (although if I quit drinking completely that would be good, but a man needs one vice to stay sane).

For me, a sense of mortality suddenly kicked in a few years ago in my late 20s, when I realized that almost everyone on television was now at least five years my junior. I figured it was just one short, untelevised slide into the grave from there.
