It's hard to separate Thanksgiving from food — we instantly associate dishes like roasted turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, and homemade gravy with the holiday. This year, however, I'll be celebrating Thanksgiving in a different way; I've stopped eating meat, so many of the staple options for the holiday are not up for consideration for our meal.

Sticky toffee pudding and a great idea for leftover sauce

It was an odd Saturday evening and sticky toffee pudding was on my mind. It's by far my favourite dessert of all time and whenever I see it on a menu, I must order it. The ooey-gooey quality of the moist date pudding soaked in a to-die-for warm toffee sauce...Yum!

Barbecue recipes: Two veggie side dishes and a dessert
I love food. It's almost a prerequisite for working at Chatelaine. But even if I wasn't a foodie before I got here, sitting mere steps away from the Chatelaine Kitchen would have done the trick. Thanks to that proximity, I've really been flexing my culinary muscles and when my friend told me that he was having a barbecue, I thought this was a good opportunity to show the world what a great cook I've become. The world being about ten people and a few toddlers.
