1. Suspend your
lampshade outdoors.
(Our pick: Ikea’s Leran
pendant.) Tape off the
cord with painter’s tape.
2. Start with the lighter
colour (we used Krylon
Blue Danube). Spray
from top to bottom.
Let dry completely.
3. Apply a second coat,
spraying from bottom
to top. When dry, tape off
the bottom rim to prevent
colours from bleeding.
4. Repeat with darker
colour (we used Krylon
Black Sea).
